These were larger projects I've done with a small team and was made for specific events or collections. It features a mix of illustrations and concept art that went into the process of creating them. I use a variety of programs when brainstorming and finalizing designs for the outcome of these projects.

Description

Together with a small team of artists and musicians, we created a virtual reproduction of a victorian automaton known as the known as the panharmonicon. This was a full mechanical orchestra invented by the german muscian Johann Nepomuk Maelzel and was once used by Beethoven.

The original panharmonicon no longer fully exists but our team was able to bring to life a 3D model of the automaton in a digital space based on drawings and similar devices like the orchestrion. The musicians in our team scored and performed a piece that it would've played at that time period.

My partner in the project and I modeled the objects separately so that we both can add as much detail within the given timeframe. I made everything inside the frame which includes all the instruments and curtains.

"Diddle Diddle Hey!" was a demo that I worked on with a team of new developers wanting to showcase a game for the 2022 global game jam. Although the mechanics still need refining, overall we got positive reviews from those who played it. I was the artist creating the graphics and animations for the game.

We wanted to create something inspired by the famous children's song "Hey Diddle Diddle," where the spoon must overcome obstacles and reunite with their partner, the plate. I wanted to create an image of that child-like wonder delivered by nursery rhymes by going with a pastel pallete and simple art style. I was also experimenting with a new program at the time, which I used to achieve that pixelated look.

The set of images below includes sketches, sprites, and animations that didn't make it in the final demo.
